It was absolutely imperative that we get back to Ithaca by night fall. Otherwise we would miss yet another deal at home and pay another grand for a weekend in NYC. Sure we liked NYC, but not enough to pay a $1,000 premium for a weekend spent there. We had much better uses on the farm for that kind of cash.
